Mr. Casteen were working on a fire on a Saturday around noon. Mr. Casteen’s tractor got stuck. He complained of chest pains and walked back out to road to Maxie Lanier(Pender County Ranger). Mr. Casteen rested before he was able to relocate to the Forest Service vehicle for transport to the hospital. Approximately 10 miles before reaching the hospital he passed.
