Captain Copeland’s engine was to act as the first unit on the scene of the exercise.,Capt Wayne Copeland died of a heart atttack at a live fire training exercise. He had just stepped off the apparatus to command the incident when he collapsed.

Engineer Mark Fraklin died from a massive pulmonary embolism as a result of a knee surgery to repair damger that occurred at working fire.Franklin hurt his knee while pulling hose from his engine at a 2-Alarm apartment fire on April 18,2003 .After several weeks of discomfort ,it was determined that surgey was required. The surgery occurred on Octocber 17,2003 He was 46 years old and left a wife and two teen age son.
