Heroism & Sacrifice

Dedicated May 6, 2006 Located in the center of historic Nash Square, Raleigh NC, the total Memorial is 50 feet diameter. The central sculpture “Heroism & Sacrifice” is comprised of four life-size bronze firefighters in a realistic action collapsed building fatal fire scene, uniquely the first time such has been created in a large prestigious memorial. Arrangements for Assistant Chief Donald Suggs

Harnett County – Assistant Fire Chief Donald Suggs of the Summerville Fire Rescue Department, Harnett County District 11, has died. Chief Suggs collapsed after returning from a call. He was 55 years old.
