Captain Johnny Norton of the Hot Springs Fire Department passed away at Mission Hospital on Thursday November 25, 2011. Captain Norton was 56 years old and was an active member of Hot Springs Fire Department for the last 37 years. Johnny has also worked as a crew member for the North Carolina Forest Service for many years. Johnny had responded to a search in Hot Springs on November 21st where he assisted in locating a missing hiker. Johnny then experienced chest pains on November 22nd where he was admitted to Memorial Mission Hospital.

Emergency Services Apparatus and Personnel are Requested to Be at Solid Rock Church at 1:00 p.m. if Attending the Services. Parking will be identified.
