Obituary Posting on Brandon Michael Whimple

Brandon Michael Whimple, 19, of Jacksonville died Saturday, March 24, 2007.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Brandon was preceded in death by his two granddaddies, Joseph John Whimple and Bobby Brooks Marshburn.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Lisa Whimple of Jacksonville; a daughter, Halie Dearborn of Richlands; his brothers, Brent Whimple, Bristol Whimple and Brook Whimple, all of Jacksonville; maternal grandmother, Lois Marshburn of Jacksonville; paternal grandmother, Angelia Gail Whimple of Jacksonville; paternal great-grandfather, Kenneth Therrel of Jacksonville; and his girlfriend, Sara Fountain of Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the N.C. Fallen Firefighters Foundation, 2501 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 150, Raleigh, NC 27607-6479.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
