W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is making available Case knife number 6254SS, a trapper with special designed bone handle. The trapper knife package is made available through B & K Advertising Specialties for the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

The purpose of the commemorative Case knife, Monument Edition, package is to help provide the necessary funds to erect North Carolina’s Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Each knife is specialized. The first blade is deeply etched, filled with gold enamel and reads, North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The second blade is deeply etched, filled with gold enamel and reads, Monument Edition. The second blade is also deeply etched with a Maltese cross and is filled with red enamel.

Each knife is encased in a solid natural finished oak box of superb quality. Each box embellishes a black metal plate on top of the box, which displays the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation logo, the United States flag and North Carolina flag in full color. The plate is secured to the box with four gold screws. On the inside of the lid is a black metal plate with the picture of the North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Memorial screened in metallic gold.

Inside on the bottom of the box, a routed design is provided to display the knife in an opened position. A small black plate with an inscription of the dedication to the fallen firefighters is displayed beside the knife.

The purpose of the memorial means so much to so many who have contributed many hours to make this a reality.
