N.C. Fallen Firefighters Foundation & N.C. Office of State Fire Marshal Partner to Support N.C. Fire Service Members and Their Families

The North Carolina Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NCFFF) and the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshal (NCOSFM) have joined together as members of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Local Assistance State Team Program (NFFF - L.A.S.T.).  The NFFF – L.A.S.T. Program is a national program that has been developed in partnership with the United States Department of Justice.  The primary objective of this program is to provide assistance and comfort to the families and fire departments of our fallen heroes and to help with the filing for Public Safety Officer Benefits (PSOB) from federal, state, and local benefit programs.

Firefighter Andrew Johnson Memorial Fund Donates $6500 to NCFFF

The Andrew Johnson Memorial Fund recently held its First Annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run in honor of Firefighter Andrew Johnson.  Andrew “AJ” Johnson tragically lost his life in an automobile accident on December 4, 2008. He was a dedicated firefighter for the City of Raleigh Fire Department and also volunteered as a Captain for the Archer Lodge Fire Department.
